The Bauchi state governor-elect, Senator Bala Mohammed, and other elected representatives weere given their certificates of return on Saturday, March 30.
Legit.ng earlier reported that the ceremony was billed to start at 11:00 am at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office in Bauchi state.
After he was given the certificate by INEC, Mohammed promised positive reforms and transformation that will enger great prosperity in the state, Daily Trust reports.
His deputy, Senator Baba Tela and the 31 members-elect of the State House of Assembly from different political parties were also given with their certificates of return by the state's Resident Electoral Commissioner, Ibrahim Abdullahi.
The governor-elect showed how grateful he his for his re-election, saying he is committed to leading a government where everyone is included.
He said: “Today represents a further confirmation and validation of the collective resolve of Bauchi people as expressed on March 9, 2019. I am highly delighted that Bauchi state have spoken with one voice and I am privileged to be beneficiary of that resolve.
“I therefore, commit myself to an all-inclusive, equitable and fair-minded approach to governance by ensuring that we keep to the fulfillment of our campaign promises. There is more to gain as a people in collective efforts than practicing one party system in the state.
“We will ensure that as a government, we bring Bauchi back from the woods by improving the internally generated revenue of the state as well as all the sectors of the economy.As a government, we will not repeat the mistakes of past governments.”

Recall that Legit.ng earlier reported that the Bauchi state gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Bala Mohammed won the governorship election in the state.
Mohammed defeated incumbent Governor Muhammed Abubakar of the All Progressive Congress, (APC).
The pending result of Tafawa Balewa was regenerated, collated and announced at the INEC headquarters on Monday night, March 25.
Announcing the result, the new collation officer of Tafawa Balewa local government area, Dr Musa Dahiru of the Federal University Kashere, said that PDP polled 39,225 votes as against 30, 055 votes scored by the All Progressive Congress (APC) and incumbent Governor Muhammed Abubakar.
Total registered voters at Tafawa Balewa LGA was 139,240 accredited voters 74,181, total votes cast was 73,779, total valid votes, 73041, rejected votes 738. Before the final announcement of the results of Tafawa Balewa LGA, PDP had polled 475,888 votes against 470,570 votes secured by the APC.
