Senegal international Sadio Mane has been backed by former teammate Oriol Romeu to make a move to Spanish side Real Madrid this summer.

Sadio Mane who currently plays for Premier League side Liverpool has been linked with Real Madrid with Los Blancos' boss Zinedine Zidane said to be ready to sign the African football star.

And Mane's former Southampton team-mate Oriol Romeu believes moving to Real Madrid this summer will be a great advantage for the Senegalese.

Oriol Romeu and Sadio Mane played 30 games together during the Saints' best ever Premier League season before Mane moved to Anfield for around £35 million.

"Mane is ready and Madrid are a little weak in attack and he’s the type of player that does a lot of damage in open spaces.

"He could help them reverse their current situation. He brings variation in attack, but he’s not a prolific goalscorer like Cristiano Ronaldo who goes well above other forwards.

"What I would highlight, above all, is his speed.

"He is a very electric and dizzying player. He has exceptional physical and technical qualities,'' he told Marca.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Sadio Mane's house was burgled while the Senegalese was busy tackling Bayern Munich in the Champions League's last-16 match played at Anfield, on Tuesday, February 19.

The burglars took advantage of the opportunity and managed to get away with watches, mobile phones and car keys belonging to the Premier League star.
