This will be Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first match in charge of the Red Devils since being named permanent manager on Thursday, March 28.

A victory for the Manchester outfit against the Hornets would see them keep their hopes of a top four finish alive as the campaign hits the homestretch.

As such, Solskjaer will be expected to field a strong side for this particular match even as his side welcome the return of David De Gea between the sticks.

The star shot-stopper was rested in United's 2-1 defeat to Wolves in the FA Cup, with Sergio Romero taking his place.

Diogo Dalot will be expected to keep his place in the right-back, with Ashley Young stepping in for Luke Shaw on the left as a precaution.

The duo of Victor Lindelof and Chris Smalling could start at United's heart of defense after forming a formidable partnership.

Nemanja Matic is poised to anchor United's midfield, with Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba providing cover from either side of the former Chelsea midfielder.

Jesse Lingard, who was not involved during the international break could be handed the no.10 role, playing behind Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial who will lead the attack-line.

Man United possible line-up against Watford:

Goalkeeper: David de Gea

Defenders: Young, Smalling, Lindelof, Dalot

Midfielders: Pogba, Matic, Herrera

Forwards: Martial, Rashford, Lingard

Meanwhile, United currently sit fifth on the Premier League standings with 58 points, two behind Arsenal who are fourth.
