CAN meets Buhari, set 2nd term agenda for president after closed-door meeting

- The Christians Association of Nigeria leaders have set agenda of 2nd term for President Muammadu Buhari

- The Christian body led by its president, Samson Olasupo Ayokunle, also congratulated the president on his re-election

The Christians Association of Nigeria (CAN) has admonished President Muhammadu Buhari to be wary of people he will appoint into his cabinet when he officially took the second term leadership mantle in May 2019.

Speaking after meeting the president at the State House on Friday, March 29, the CAN executive council also congratulated President Buhari on his re-election, Daily Trust reports. gathers that over 30 members of the CAN executive council were led by the body's president, Samson Olasupo Ayokunle, to Aso Rock where they were received by the president.

After the closed door meeting with President Buhair, CAN made its stance known on the president's victory over Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The Christian body also disclosed that it was not on pressure to congratulate the president on his victory.

It, however, admonished President Buhari to appoint good men of rectitude into the new administration.
