All Progressive Congress (APC) and Osun governor, Gboyega Oyetola, have asked the Abuja Appeal Court to reverse the decision of tribunal panel recognising Senator Ademola Adeleke as the winner of the state governorship election held in 2018.
Legit.ng had reported that Adeleke, the candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Osun gubernatorial election, was declared the authentic winner by Justice Peter Obiora-led tribunal panel.
The panel also mandated the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to issue the certificate of return to Senator Adeleke
But in a 39 count notice filed before the Abuja Appeal Court, Oyetola and APC, through their counsel, Wole Olanipekun (SAN), argued that the evidences upon which the tribunal's judgement was built was replete and untenable, The Nation reports.
They, however, urged the court to reverse the Friday, March 22 judgement and dismiss the October 16, 2018 petition by both Adeleke and his party, PDP.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that INEC had said it could issue a certificate of return to Senator Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) only if Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun state failed to appeal the judgment of the tribunal that sacked him within 21 days.
The commission, on Monday, March 25, also debunked rumours that Adeleke had been issued a certificate of return.
