Babagana Umara Zulum, the Borno governor-elect, on Wednesday, March 27, said his administration will deal with Boko Haram terrorism in the state
Speaking in the state capital, Maiduguri on Wednesday, Zulum revealed that this will be done by providing employment for youths, addressing drug abuse and other social vices.
The governor-elect promised to build a purposeful social investment scheme in Borno, Daily Trust reports.
Going forward, he said that he would improve upon and consolidate on the reconstruction, rehabilitation and resettlement programme of Governor Kashim Shettima for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Wednesday, March 27, in Maiduguri, presented certificate of return to Borno governor-elect, Babagana Zulum.
The commission also presented similar certificates to the 28 elected members of the state House of Assembly.
Ahmed Mu’azu (Rtd), INEC federal commissioner in charge of Borno, Adamawa and Taraba, assisted by the resident electoral commissioner, Mohammed Magaji, presented the certificates to the elected political office holders.

Mu’azu called on Zulum and other elected representatives to deliver on their campaign promises and work for the development of the state and country at large.
