Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reacted following his confirmation as permanent manager of Manchester United on Thursday, March 28, after replacing Jose Mourinho in interim capacity since mid-December.

In an exclusive interview with MUTV, the Norwegian revealed he is excited after penning a three-year permanent contract with the Red Devils.

"Being given the opportunity now to move the club forward, with all the potential there is, it’s fantastic,” he stated, even as applauded the massive support he enjoyed from the Red Devils supporters.

“I’ve always had it but I have to say the last few months have been absolutely crazy with the way they’ve taken to the players, to me and to the coaching staff.

"We’ve really appreciated that support and hopefully we can pay them back now,” Solskjaer summed up.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Manchester United have confirmed the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the club's permanent manager on a three-year deal.

Solskjaer has been manager on interim basis replacing Jose Mourinho who was sacked in December 2018.

Since returning to Old Trafford, Solskjaer has won 14 of his 19 games in charge, losing just three times.

He has led the Red Devils to within two points of the top four and the quarter-finals of the Champions League where they will face Barcelona.
