- Solskjaer has been appointed as Manchester United permanent manager at Old Trafford
- According to stats, the Norwegian has a better record as manager of Man United than Ferguson and Mourinho
- He replaced Jose Mourinho in December 2018 before Man United confirmed his permanent appointment on Thursday, March 28
With eight games to the end of the 2018/19 Premier League season, Manchester United have confirmed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their permanent manager.
The Norwegian football tactician came on board last year December on a rescue mission after Jose Mourinho was fired at Old Old Trafford.
And since he took over from Jose Mourinho, Manchester United have been impressive as Solskjaer also boosted the morale of the players.
Solskjaer's first big test in charge of Manchester United was in the Champions League knock out stage where the Red Devils sent French club Paris-Saint-Germain out of the competition.
Manchester United lost the first leg of the match 2-0 at home, and the thoughts of many fans was that the Red Devils won't be able to turn the table around in Paris.

But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer proved the doubters wrong against Paris-Saint-Germain as Manchester United won the return leg 3-1 in Paris and qualified for the quarterfinal.
It was after United's win over Paris-Saint-Germain that the talks of Solskjaer getting a permanent job at Old Trafford switched to top gear before the club's chiefs confirmed it on Thursday, March 28.
However, stats have now proven that Solskjaer is a better manager at Manchester United than Alex Ferguson and Jose Mourinho.
But this is based on the games played, points earned, number of wins and also the winning percentage.
So far, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has played 19 games winning 14, drawing two and lost three thereby having 73.7 as winning percentage.
Sir Alex Ferguson on the other hand was in charge of 1503 games winning 897, drawing 338 and he lost 268 with his percentage at 59.7.
Jose Mourinho was in charge of 144 games, winning 84, drawing 32 and losing 28 with 58.3 winning percentage.
Also, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is leading other ex Manchester United managers in terms of points per game at Old Trafford.
Sir Alex Ferguson 2.16
David Moyes 1.68
Ryan Giggs 1.75
Louis van Gaal 1.79
Jose Mourinho 1.89
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 2.46
