Social media scammer begs victims, promises to give to charity to compensate them

- A Facebook user has narrated how a fake account was created on the social media platform to scam people

- According to the user, the money was used to pay school fees in the university

- The unidentified scammer claimed to have donated part of her salary to charity in penance for the crime

A social media scammer has surprised users with a confession on how a fake Facebook account was created to scam people.

According to the user who goes by the name Diana Tetteh on Facebook, the account was created with the intention of luring men to collect money from them for school fees during his/her second year at the university.

Since that time, the user has been able to deceive men to send her various sums of money with with a promise to visit them.

The user, who shared a photo of a beautiful lady saying that the lady in the photo was not the actual person, pleaded for forgiveness from all the people that had been scammed though the profile.

According to the user, due to the help received from them, the person has now found a job after completing school and had decided to use part of the salary for charity to make up for all the money taken.

"I have a confession to make, the girl in the pix is not me, I created this account years ago to enable me get money to pay some of my bills and tuition fees, I just want to say a big thank you to everyone that sent me money for transport to visit them, even though I never visited because I'm not the girl in the picture, money to buy food, recharge cards etc, all of you have been a blessing to me, from my 200lv till when I completed my education and I now have a job, you'll should find a place in your heart and forgive me, once again I'm really grateful to everyone who in one way or the other rendered help to me, I have decided to give some of my salaries to charity to make up for all I did, thank you and I'm most grateful," she wrote.
