Emerging reports by Daily Trust have claimed that fire on Wednesday, March 27, gutted the office of the National Productivity Centre (NPC).
The cause of the fire outbreak has not been disclosed by the management of the NPC. The office is located at Cape Town Street, Zone 4, Wuse, Abuja, Federal Capital territory.
Recall that less than 24 hours after fire outbreak at Otedola Bridge, Lagos, claimed nine lives; with four injured and 54 vehicles burnt another fire accident occurred at along Minna-Suleja Road, Niger state, involving a truck and a fuel tanker.
Five people were on Friday, June 29, confirmed injured in the head-on collision between the fuel tanker and the trailer.
The spokesperson of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Bisi Kazeem, who confirmed the incident, said the victims have been taken to the hospital.
In another report, fire burned down seven classrooms in Badawa secondary school in Nasarawa local government of Kano state.
Legit.ng reported that the incident was confirmed by the spokesman of the Kano state police command, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, in a text message on Monday morning, March 25, saying no life was lost.
The police spokesman said the fire was caused by electricity sparks from one of the laboratories in the school. He said the incident started around 1:30am.
