- Christian Pulisic exhibited great calmness to net for the USA on Tuesday, March 26,
- Chelsea supporters were thrilled at the performance of their future star's talent
- Pulisic was later replaced after suffering an injury before the end of first half
Christian Pulisic’s goal for USA against Chile on Tuesday, March 26, left Chelsea fans keen on seeing him play in the Premier League.
The 20-year-old forward, who is expected at Stamford Bridge at the end of the current campaign, netted the opener after four minutes into the clash at the BBVA Compass Stadium.
Pulisic collected a pass from teammate Gyasi Zardes and skillfully chipped the ball beyond onrushing Chile goalkeeper Gabriel Arias into the net.
Interestingly, moments after the goal Chelsea supporters headed to the social media to reveal that was why the Blues splashed out £58m to sign the American from Borussia Dortmund last summer.
A fan ‘termed’ Pulisic’s chip leading to the goal as 'majestic' while another said: “This kid is special.”
Another believes the American will be a joy to watch in the English topflight.
“Christian Pulisic to Chelsea is going to be a joy to watch. More entertainment coming to the Premier League.”
But Chileans fought back to level scores against their hosts as the match ended 1-1 in Texas.
And to make matters worse Pulisic was substituted before the break after sustaining an injury.
The player is expected to go for an MRI scan to know the extent of the problem and USA coach Berhalter is upbeat he will be okay.
“I'm not worried,” Gregg Berhalter was quoted as saying to reporters.
“You look into the why, you do an inquiry of why that's happening, and you make adjustments. "He's at a top club, he's going to a top club [in Chelsea].
“We have very high-level medical personnel on our side and we'll get it right,” he submitted.
Pulisic's goal in the night was his 10th for USA.
A performance that has sent Jozy Altidore's previous record as the youngest American to net double figures to the archives.
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Chelsea are reportedly praying that Eden Hazard follow Antoine Griezmann’s path and pen an extension with the Stamford Bridge outfit out of pity.
The UK Sun claims the Chelsea playmaker, whose current deal at the west London dwellers expires in 2020, remains one of Real Madrid’s listed summer transfer targets.
The 28-year-old Hazard has repeatedly rejected committing his future amid a potential exit in June.
