The North London club are yet to find a replacement for Aaron Ramsey who is set to leave for Juventus at the end of the ongoing season. Unai Emery believes Herrera can fill the void left by the Welshman.

Foreign clubs are already free to hold contract talks with the former Athletic Bilbao player giving PSG an edge to land the midfielder. Herrera joined the Red Devils in 2014 from Bilbao.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Ander Herrera was among the scorers in Manchester United's win over Chelsea and the Spaniard was quick to encourage teammate Alexis Sanchez after the match.

The Chilean international played less than 20 minutes in the match after coming on for Romelu Lukaku in the second half.

In an interview earlier in the week, Herrera gave his full backing to Sanchez despite his nightmare spell.
