France vs Iceland ended in a thrilling 4-0 win for the world champions as the Didier Deschamps' side top Group H with superior goal difference over Turkey.
It was Barcelona's center-back Samuel Umtiti who first got on the scoresheet in the 12th minute after heading home a cross from Kylian Mbappe to make it 1-0.
Olivier Giroud brought out the best of Icelandic goalkeeper Hannes Thor Halldorsson, who produced a fine save to stop the Frenchman's header.
Mbappe also saw his shot going agonizingly wide in the 28th minute as their opponents were lucky to have gone three goals behind.
Six minutes later, the Paris Saint-Germian forward shot from distance but his attempt did not find the back of the net as the ball rolled millimeters away from goal.
Benjamin Pavard almost got a goal similar strike to the one rated as the best goal at the last World Cup in Russia in the 58th minute, but he was unlucky not to have scored as his volley flashed away from the post.

Les Bleus finally doubled their advantage in the 68th minute as Chelsea forward Giroud had an easy tap-in from Pavard's cross. It became 2-0.
Ten minutes later, Mbappe finally got his goal as he was put in with a through ball from Antoine Griezmann before sliding in with a brilliant finish to make it 3-0.
Mbappe returned the favour to Griezmann in the 84th minute with a delightful back-heeled pass and the Atletico Madrid striker made no mistake to score France's fourth goal. It finished 4-0 on the night.
