The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) on Monday, March 25, rated President Muhammadu Buhari high on his economic policies.

APGA said Nigerians would soon start to enjoy better standard of living and stable economy with Buhari’s policies, The Nation reports.

While talking to newsmen in Abuja yesterday, the party’s chairman, Victor Oye, said the people of the country support the president in all ways because he deserves a complete eight-year tenure as laid out by the constitution.

Oye condemned the people who criticised the government, saying politics is not a war zone, that desperate politics is the sole reason why there is always electoral violence.

He also begged Nigerians to work on how to cooperate with their leaders, saying that is the only way unity and peace in the country can be ensured.

The party’s chairman also added that the 2019 general elections were free and fair just like the international observers confirmed.

He said the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) were not trusted well enough by Nigerians to conduct credible general elections.

“We have our own misgivings, but in our own thinking, the outcome of the election was fair. Nobody gave INEC the chance to perform the little it has done.

“INEC showed immeasurable courage by ensuring that the elections went the way they did, especially the Presidential elections. In our own estimation, the election was free and fair and APGA is happy with the outcome of that elections," he said.

The chairman also said the party is growing stronger despite losing three senatorial seats to other parties.

Recall that Legit.ng earlier reported that the INEC had officially declared President Buhari of the APC as the winner of the 2019 presidential election, defeating Atiku Abubakar of the PDP with over three million votes.

However, Atiku rejected the results and has headed to to tribunal to "reclaim his stolen mandate"
