The Buhari Media Organisation (BMO), on Monday, March 25, said the suit challenging the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari lacked merit, saying it would fail on the basis of its lack of merit.
This was contained in a statement signed by the chairman and the secretary of BMO, Niyi Akinsiju and Cassidy Madueke, respectively, Vanguard reports.
Legit.ng gathers that the group said if the presidential election was to be conducted 10 times, President Buhari would defeat Atiku ten times.
BMO said: “Atiku Abubakar has yet to wake up from his hallucination that he can steal a chance to defeat Buhari in an election. If the Presidential elections were to hold ten times, Atiku will lose ten times to Buhari.
“Atiku knew it, even before the elections were held, that he never stood a chance at beating Buhari at the poll."
According to the group, what the courts will eventually do will be to stamp the authority of victory on Buhari at the end of the day.
BMO addied: “The signs were very clear before the elections, during the elections, and with the eventual victory of Buhari been the popular appeal across the country. Atiku’s rejection by Nigerians started with his own household."
Legit.ng previously reported that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Monday, March 25, asked the All Progressives Congress (APC) to prepare to face its legal team at the presidential election tribunal instead of its “unnecessary fabrications, smear campaign".
The opposition party said this in reaction to allegations by the APC that the PDP hacked into the server of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in relation to the results of the presidential election.
The PDP claimed the APC and the current government are overweighed by the “burden of illegitimacy, following overwhelming evidence before the tribunal that they stole the presidential mandate, hence this lame attempt at blackmailing the tribunal by engaging in clear acts of subjudice.

A statement by PDP read: “The PDP states that the facts and issues touching on the INEC server are already within the public domain and Nigerians are already at home with them.
“By resorting to shadow-boxing outside the tribunal, President Buhari and the APC have shown that they have no defence to present to the court against PDP’s submission that they stole our mandate.”
