President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday, March 25, hosted some All Progressives Congress (APC) senators to a dinner at the new Banquet Hall of the State House in Aso Rock, Abuja.
Attendees at the event senators included serving senators and senators-elect of the party as well as state governors of Lagos, Plateau, Kogi, Kaduna, Jigawa, Kebbi, Zamfara, Osun, The Nation reports.
Also, APC's national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, and Boss Gidahyelda Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
It is believed that the discussions at the dinner may revolve around the zoning and selection of the leadership of the Senate.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that the APC had said it would ensure that the party’s decisions were respected by members in electing the principal officers of the 9th National Assembly.
The ruling party's stance was made known by the national publicity secretary of the APC, Mallam Lanre Isa-Onilu.
