“Both Senator Wamakko and our candidate, Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu have not called Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal and congratulated him on his victory as maliciously and falsely being circulated on Social Media,” he said.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that the Sokoto state chapter of the APC rejected the declaration of Governor Aminu Tambuwal as winner of the just-concluded governorship election in the state.

The chief collation/returning officer, Prof. Fatima Mukhtar, said that Tambuwal of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secured the highest votes of 512,002, defeating his close rival Alhaji Ahmad Aliyu of APC, who polled 511,660 votes.

Addressing a press conference in Sokoto, the APC’s spokeman, Alhaji Bello Danchadi, rejected the declaration on the ground that the process was flawed with irregularities, which he said were duly reported to electoral body.
