Nigeria battle Libya in a must win U23 Africa Cup of Nations clash on at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba on Monday.
The Dream Team VII as they are fondly referred to suffered 2-0 defeat in the reverse fixture of the qualifying series at the Ben Guerdane Stadium in Bergandan.
Zakaria Alharaish opened scoring for the hosts just after seven minutes, and conceded the second in the later parts of the game.
Despite fielding foreign based stars like Taiwo Awoniyi, Samuel Chukwueze, Kelechi Nwakali and a few other stars, coach Imama Amapakabo's side were unable to stop the Libyans from coasting to victory.
However, a few other foreign based stars have been drafted into the team in a bid to overturn the result from the first leg and progress to the next phase.
Meanwhile, Francis Uzoho, Valentine Ozornwafor, Chidozie Awaziem and Victor Osimhen have also been drafted into the team to strengthen the squad.
Uzoho might be in goal for Nigeria after goalkeeper Adamu Abubakar was handed a red card in the first leg.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Libya side beat Nigeria’s Dream Team VII 2-0 in the first leg of AFCON U23 qualifying match at the Stade de Ben Guerdane in Tunisia on Wednesday.
A goal each from each half of the meeting ensured the Libyans cruise to convincing victory in the reverse fixture.
The encounter saw coach of the side Imama Amapakabo parade an all foreign-based midfielders that include Arsenal's Kelechi Nwakali, Liverpool's Taiwo Awoniyi, Villareal's Samuel Chukwueze among others from the start of the game.
