- The ex-Real Madrid talisman is set to miss Serie A away games against Cagliari and SPAL

Cristiano Ronaldo could miss Juventus' next two Serie A away games because of his international commitments with Portugal.

The Juve talisman has made a commanding appearance in his first season in Italy after completing a £100million move from Real Madrid last summer.

Ronaldo was brought to Turin to help Juventus achieve their Champions League ambition and scored a hat-trick in the Bianconeri's 3-0 over Atletico Madrid to qualify for the last eight.

The 34-year-old resumed international duties for Portugal since the last World Cup and his commitments could cause headache for Old Lady manager, Max Allegri.

According to Italian news media outlet Tuttosport, Allegri may have to rest Ronaldo in upcoming league matches to ease his workload.

The player was involved in Portugal's goalless draw with Ukraine and will be on parade when they take on Serbia on Monday, March 25, in Lisbon.

Allegri will seek to rest Ronaldo for lesser league games at Juventus having played twice during the international break for his country.

Juventus are currently 15 points clear above Napoli in Serie A, which means they can afford to rest players like Ronaldo and focus more on Champions League.

Before Juve's quarter final clash with Ajax in April, they will play Empoli and Milan at the Allianz Stadium before making a trip to Cagliari, then play the first leg at Amsterdam.

And it is the away games to Cagliari and SPAL Ronaldo is set to miss, which is in between crucial Champions league tie with Ajax.

Fans from both teams complained about Ronaldo not featuring for defending champions and some demanded a refund of their money.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Cristiano Rnaldo was spotted asking a fan for Juventus shirt to sign instead of Real Madrid jersey during Portugal's goalless draw with Ukraine in the Euro 2020 qualifiers.
