Fresh scrutiny of newmen, poll observers, agents from [political parties and other stakeholders at the collation centre of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Kano are said to be conducted by officers of the Department of State Security (DSS) and the police.
Before the screening, security agents ordered everyone at the centre to step out despite the fact that they were earlier given tags by the electoral body.
While the people had been returned into the hall, INEC officials ad an in-house meeting in order rectify few irregularities in results for Nasarawa and Kibiya local government areas.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that Rabiu Suleiman Bichi, the Kano state chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), had reportedly called on INEC to cancel the ongoing supplementary elections with immediate effect.
Addressing journalists in Kano, Bichi said PDP had received reports that some of its agents were molested, with vehicles burnt and property destroyed in Doguwa, Nasarawa, Minjibir and Tudun Wada LGAs.
The PDP chairman alleged that security personnel gave hoodlums cover to unleash mayhem on their supporters.
