Rabiu Suleiman Bichi, the Kano state chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has reportedly called on INEC to cancel the ongoing supplementary elections with immediate effect, according to Sahara Reporters.
Addressing journalists in Kano, Bichi said PDP had received reports that some of its agents were molested, with vehicles burnt and property destroyed in Doguwa, Nasarawa, Minjibir and Tudun Wada LGAs.
The PDP chairman alleged that security personnel gave hoodlums cover to unleash mayhem on their supporters.
He also alleged that some political thugs were imported from neighboring states to cause chaos in the ongoing supplementary elections.
Meanwhile, the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kano state has also reacted to the the call by the PDP for the immediate cancellation of the supplementary election in the state.
The Kano state chairman of the APC, Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas, said there was no tangible reason for the cancellation.

Also denying the allegation raised by the opposition party, Abass said: “The call by the PDP for cancellation of election was uncalled-for because the election is still ongoing.
“INEC should ensure conclusion of the election. PDP should wait for the final result of the poll and then take legal action if not satisfied with it. That is what the law provided.
“I think PDP failed to mobilise its people that’s all.”
