Love is a beautiful thing and for many people, it’s a feeling that creeps into them without them being completely aware of it.
Little wonder that when Legit.ng carried out a poll, most of our readers revealed that where they met their respective partners is not consequential to their relationships. The poll question had read thus: Do you think where you first met your partner affects your relationshp/marriage?
About 38% of our readers on popular micro blogging platform, Twitter, and another 30% on Facebook, voted in the affirmative. This translates to the fact that these groups of people are most likely the ones that are pretty much selective in choosing out a partner.
People in this class may look out for things such as a partner’s religion, place of abode, place or occupation and the likes, before considering the possibility of being with a potential partner. They may not exactly be the type of people you can approach in social gatherings or on the street.
Surprisingly 70% of our Facebook readers cast their votes otherwise, while another 62% on Twitter followed suit. For these groups, where they meet their partners have no role in defining what goes on in their relationships with their lovers. People in this group have no problem mingling in clubs or any other social gathering, and going on to build a solid relationship.

Although, we live in a world where certain factors like social class can be hugely consequential to the possibility of two opposite genders falling in love, it appears that people are becoming more aware of their emotions and staying true to it.
It is safe to say that this poll was won by people who strongly hold the belief that where you meet your partner has little or no effect at all on how your relationship turns out.
We thank everyone that participated in the poll.
Meanwhile, in other news, Legit.ng had previously gathered the report of Nigerian radio girl Toke Makinwa, who had taken to social media with an advice for people trying to deal with ex-lovers from broken relationships. According to the radio star, such people should refrain from using success as a means of revenge, but should instead, focus on moving on and achieving true growth in their lives.
