Callum Hudson-Odoi was called-up to the England squad for the first time for the Euro 2020 qualifiers against the Czech Republic and Montenegro.
The UK born Ghanaian has been huggingheadlines ever since joining Chelsea, with Liverpool and Bayern Munich among elite clubs showing deep interest in the 18-year-old.
And having tasted few glimpses of Hudson-Odoi's capabilities, many were wondering what the fuss was all about.
In this video, Odoi as a schoolboy playing for Whitgift School (in South Croydon), shows his superior class that he's truly something special.
At 14-years-old then, Hudson-Odoi's exhibited Messi-like skills as he left opponents looking puzzled and even slightly concussed at times.
The Blues wonder-kid also showed his eye for goal with impressive finish, making it look all so easy.
It is no wonder the young Odoi attracted the eyes of scouts who are eager to get their hands on the talented lad.
He has featured in 19 games for Chelsea this season, scoring five times, but is yet to start a Premier League match.
Hudson-Odoi's father, Bismark Odoi, a former Ghanaian international played for Accra Hearts of Oak.
However, Odoi declined to play for Ghana and was part of the England squad that defeated Czech at Wembley on Friday, March 22, and 5-1 away win in Montenegro on Monday, March 25.
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Barcelona have joined the queue of suitors to sign Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi at the end of the season.
According to UK Sun citing Sport, the La Liga leaders have now lined up behind Bayern Munich, who had four offers rejected by Chelsea in the January window.
At the last count, the 18-year-old has been struggling for game time under Maurizio Sarri this season, starting only eight games in his 24 appearances.
