- Thibaut Courtois has come under fire again following error in Belgium's 3-1 win over Russia
- The Real Madrid goalie failed to clearance properly as Russia equalized through Cheryshev
- Eden Hazard scored two goals to give the Red Devils the win in the Euro 2020 qualifier
Thibaut Courtois' mistake was the high point of Belgium's 3-1 win over Russia in a Euro 2020 qualifier.
The Real Madrid shot-stopper made a horrible blunder after failing to clear a back-pass as Denis Cheryshev pounced on the mistake to put the score level at 1-1.
Courtois cost Real Madrid £38million last summer but has failed to replicate his form in the Premier League back in Spain.
The Belgian international was dropped by Zinedine Zidane during Los Blanco's 2-0 win over Celta Vigo last weekend but retained the faith of national coach Roberto Martinez.
Youri Tielemans opened the scoring for Belgium with a smartly taken finish after 14 minutes but the Russians came back through the costly error from the 26-year-old goalkeeper.
He was closed down by Artem Dzubya after failing to make a first time clearance from a Jan Vertonghen and which Cheryshev capitalized on.

Courtois' blushes were saved by captain Eden Hazard who scored a penalty and a 90th minute goal to end the match in favour of the Belgians.
Courtois tweeted after the game: "We always learn from his mistakes. Very happy with the 3 points and our great team spirit. Thanks to the supporters! Direction Cyprus. # comeonbelgium"
Los Blancos have conceded 32 goals in just 27 games in La Liga this season with Courtois starting 24.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Zinedine Zidane says he 'axed' Thibaut Courtois from the starting XI in Real Madrid’s 2-0 win over Celta Vigo at the Santiago Bernabeu to accord Keylor Navas some respect.
The Frenchman was excited after claiming his first victory in his second spell as manager with two in the second stanza from Isco and Gareth Bale.
