Joao Felix in line to join Manchester City in a £105m deal this summer

- Joao Felix could be on his way to Manchester City this summer from Portuguese side Benfica

- The Premier League are planning to meet the player's release clause with add ons pending on his performance at the Etihad

- Felix has scored ten times in 18 topflight appearances this campaign

Manchester City are reportedly leading the race to land £105 million rated Portuguese whizkid Joao Felix.

The 19-year-old has been in hot form for his Primera Liga side this campaign, scoring ten goals and four assists in 18 league games.

SunSport reports that the attacker has also attracted interests from Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus due to his recent form.

However, Pep Guardiola is in pole position to land Felix after City’s director of football Txiki Begiristain watch the youngster play in last week’s 3-0 Europa League win over Dinamo Zagreb.

Also at the Estadio da Luz to watch the teenage sensation play was football agent, Jorge Mendes, who was representing Juve on the night.

Though unsure, he was said to have met with the Portuguese club over a possible summer transfer move for the forward.

Meanwhile, Felix is believed to prefer a move to join the Premier League champions - even if joining Juve would allow him to link-up with fellow countryman Cristiano Ronaldo.

The 19-year-old has £105m on his release clause but City are planning to persuade Benfica to do business by adding performance-based bonuses to their offer in the summer.

Guardiola will have Felix's form monitored during Portugal's Euro 2020 qualifiers against Ukraine on Friday and Serbia on Monday.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Liverpool's £60 million offer for Benfica youngster Joao Felix has been rejected.

SunSport quoting Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manha claim that the 19-year-old is already attracting offers across Europe after breaking into Benfica first team this campaign.

The bid for the wonder kid is far from a reported £105m release clause inserted in Felix new contract with the Portuguese giants.
