The Super Eagles of Nigeria will square up against the Pirates of Seychelles in their last African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying game on Friday, March 22, at the Stephen Keshi stadium in Asaba, Delta state.
Ahead of the encounter, Gernot Rohr’s men had their last training session at the main bowl of the match venue, as the players were put through their fitness level, aerial duels, speed and how to take and defend set-pieces.
Legit.ng was on ground to watch the final training session of the players and one special task performed were free-kick drills. The technical crew led by Coach Gernot Rohr put the players through on set-pieces with Ahmed Musa, William-Troost Ekong and Oghenakaro Etebo called upon at different times to take set-pieces.

However, the conversion rate of the free-kicks taken was quite low as it confirms Nigeria are still in search of a free-kick specialist since the era of Austin Okocha.
Also, Legit.ng can report that Rohr is naming a strong squad for the clash against Seychelles as he stated during the pre-match press conference that it is important for the Super Eagles to finish the AFCON qualifiers on a high note.
Rohr said: “Of our two games this period, the game against Seychelles is more important.”
Now, the Franco-German coach is expected to play a 4-3-3 formation against the Pirates of Seychelles with Arsenal in-form star Alex Iwobi set to play the no 10 role.
Here is how the Super Eagles will likely line up against Seychelles
Goalkeeper: Francis Uzoho
Defenders: Shehu Abdullahi, William Troost-Ekong, Kenneth Omeruo, Jamiu Collins
Midfielders: Oghenkaro Etebo, Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi
Strikers: Henry Onyekuru, Ahmed Musa, Odion Ighalo
