- The chieftain, who is an ex-minister of transportation, says Buhari can do anything because he is capable of doing anything
A former minister of transportation, Chief Ebenezer Babatope, has said President Muhammadu Buhari and the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, will determine president of the Senate and speaker of the House of Representatives in the 9th National Assembly.
Independent reports that Chief Babatope, who made the assertion on Thursday, March 21, described the APC national chairman as 'strong head'.
Legit.ng gathers that the ex-minister of transportation said since the APC is in majority in the Senate and the House of Representatives, the party will produce the NASS leadership with President Buhari and Oshiomhole dictating the pace.
He said: “On the issue of the NASS leadership, that is the duty of the members of his party if they decide so, because the APC is in the majority in the Senate and House of Representatives.
“But we all know Buhari can do anything because he is capable of doing anything. The APC also have a strong-headed national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole.
“Whoever Buhari and Oshiomhole want will likely emerge but I know that by the grace of God, when we leave the tribunal, we will be able to chart the way forward for this country. But as it is now, it is going to be Buhari and Oshiomhole who will be dictating the pace."
