Two young siblings battling cataracts need surgery to see again, parents call for help

Two young Nigerian children currently battling cataracts, have been left at the mercy of well-meaning Nigerians to come to their aid due to financial struggles of their parents.

According to Facebook user, Oluwa Damilola who reached out to Legit.ng, the little kids identified as Oladele Nifemi and Oladele Olasunkanli respectively. They have been placed on an urgent surgery if only they wish to see again.

They did a particular surgery in 2017 which yielded no progress. Another surgery is expected to be carried out on them which will cost the sum of N600k. A total change of each eye that requires N150k.

A cataract is a clouding of the lens in the eye which leads to a decrease in vision. Cataracts often develop slowly and can affect one or both eyes. Symptoms may include faded colors, blurry vision, halos around light, trouble with bright lights, and trouble seeing at night.
