Gay Nigerian man Jide Macaulay set to be ordained an Anglican priest

Gay Nigerian preacher based in the UK, Rev. Jide Macaulay, is set to be ordained an Anglican priest.

The theologian and gay rights activists took to his Instagram page to share the good news with his friends and followers.

Sharing a copy of the invitation on his Instagram page, he wrote: "It is a delight to share this news, I am to be ordained Anglican Priest in the Church of England in June 2019.

“Wait on the Lord, be of Good courage and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait I say, on the Lord” Psalm 27:14"

Going through his Instagram page, his show of support for the LGBTQ community is clear and he continues to encourage others like him to keep being their true selves, something he described as being 'authentic and natural' in one of his posts.
