A bouncing newborn baby girl has broken a record after she was born in the United States. The newborn baby girl, who was born weighing 6.8kg with a height of 23.2-inch, is said to be the heaviest baby born in New York.
According to the New York Post, the baby girl is recorded as the hospital's heaviest newborn. It was said that her weight is more than twice the size of an average newborn.
It was also gathered that the baby's weight is on par with some 6-month-olds. The baby is said to be bigger than India's heaviest newborn who was delivered three years ago.
In an interview with WETM, her mother, Joy Buckley, noted that she had known her baby was going to be big but she never knew she would be that big. She said: “I knew she was gonna be big, but I didn’t anticipate no 15-pound baby.”

Joy Buckley, who also has a toddler and an adopted child, expressed that waiting to take her baby home has been tough.

She said: “It’s definitely hard, but I know that she won’t be [in intensive care] forever, she’ll be coming home soon.”
The baby, Harper Buckley, was delivered at Arnot Odgen Medical Center in Elmira.
