The Kwara state senator-elect Ibrahim Oloriegbe, on Wednesday, March 20, meet with the All Progressives Congress (APC)'s national leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in Abuja.
Oloriegbe received encomiums and congratulatory message by Tinubu following his victory in the just concluded senatorial poll.
The senator-elect defeated Senate President Bukola Saraki of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the recent National Assembly election.
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Saraki lost his bid for reelection into the Senate from Kwara central on the platform of the PDP.
Saraki lost to Oloriegbe of the APC in Saturday’s February 23 senatorial election. Legit.ng gathered that Oloriegbe polled a total of 123,808 votes to defeat the Senate president who scored 68,994 votes in the four local governments of Kwara Central senatorial district.

The result of the election was announced by the senatorial district returning officer, Professor Olatunbosun Owoyomi, from the University of Ilorin.
