President Muhammadu Buhari is currently presiding over the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
In attendance are Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Secretary to the Government of the Federation Boss Mustapha, National Security Adviser Babagana Monguno and 23 ministers.
The meeting started with the arrival of the president to the council chamber of the villa by 10:59am.
Recall that Legit.ng reported that President Buhari met with with Nigeria's service chiefs in Aso Rock, Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting started at the president’s office in the State House around 11am on Tuesday, March 19. According to the report, discussions at the meeting would likely dwell on the security situation in the country and how to ensure maximum security in states where the INEC is conducting rerun election on Saturday, March 23.
In another report, the outing governor of Ogun state, Ibikunle Amosun, met with President Buhari. The meeting held at the State House on Sunday, March 3.
The governor had been suspended days after he won a senatorial election on the platform of the APC. He was accused of engaging in anti-party activities.
It was learnt that the duo may have discussed issues relating to the suspension which resulted from the governor’s supposed support for the candidate of the APM, Adekunle Akinlade, ahead of the governorship election in Ogun state.
