Uniport SUG presidential aspirant allegedly stabbed to death by brother

In what could be described as an unfortunate incidence, a Nigerian youth has reportedly lost his life in the hands of his own sibling.

A young man identified as Comrade Stephen Mbarie, who is a 400 level student of science laboratory technology at the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers state, has allegedly lost his life after being stabbed in the chest by his brother, identified as Elechi.

It was alleged that the incident had occurred during an argument between the two around 7pm on Sunday, March 17.

Before his death, the vibrant young man had reportedly contested for the post of the student union president in the last election that held in his school.

Reports also have it that the young man who allegedly committed the heinous crime is currently on the run. The sad incident occurred less than 24 hours after he had attended the burial of an APC leader in his community.

A visit to Mbarie’s Facebook page shows the last post on his timeline to have been published around 9:41pm on Saturday, March 16. Some of his followers had taken under the post to lament his death. See the post below:
