Barcelona star Luis Suarez is now expected to be fit for his side's Champions League quarterfinal encounter against Premier League giants Manchester United.
The Uruguay international sprained his ankle during Barcelona's 4-1 win over Real Betis on Sunday, March 17, a game that saw Lionel Messi score hat-trick.
Suarez scored the third goal in the match but was unable to complete the encounter due to the injury he sustained.
“Tests carried out on Monday morning have confirmed that first team player Luis Suarez has a sprained right ankle.
“He will be out for 10-15 days and will now undertake his recovery with the FC Barcelona medical team, having been withdrawn from the Uruguayan national team squad,'' Barcelona said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Luis Suarez is expected to miss Barcelona's tie against Espanyol and Villarreal and will make a return against Manchester United.
Barcelona travel to England for the first leg of their tie on April 10 before they host the return fixture six days later at the Camp Nou.
