MC Abbey recounts experience with police, says he was told to pay N10k to write statement (video)

- Nigerian comedian MC Abbey has shared a sad experience he had with police in Lagos state

- The comedian revealed that police officers had asked him to pay N10,000 to write a statement after he had an accident

- MC Abbey noted that he wanted to report the accident for insurance purposes and he was asked to pay for it

Popular Nigerian comedian turned actor MC Abbey has taken to social media to complain about how the Nigerian police works. The comedian had shared a sad experience he had with the police on Instagram.

MC Abbey revealed that he had gone to a police station in Lekki area of Lagos state to report an accident. His car had been bashed a little in a minor accident and he had to report the case for insurance purposes.

According to him, the police officers in the station had asked him to pay the sum of ten thousand naira in other to write a statement about the accident.

The frustrated comedian, who shared a video on his Instagram page, had expressed disappointment at the behaviour of the police officers.

In his post, MC Abbey had tagged high police authorities to call their attention to the injustice done by officers at Maroko station in Oniru, Lekki.

He wrote: "This so annoying,had an accident and needed to go write a statement at the police station in maroko oniru lekki so i can i have it documented for insurance sake and the police was asking me to pay 10k for statement.This is shameful. @aleeygiwa @policenglagos @PoliceNG_CRU @segalink."
