Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has requested Paul Scholes to join him at Manchester United after leaving Oldham.
According to UK Sun, Scholes left his managerial role at Boundary Park after seven matches in 31 days, claiming involvement from above.
But his former teammate Solskjaer is keen on having him join the Red Devils at the Carrington Training Ground.
“He's invited here if he wants to come and have a little chat about it, we've texted and it didn't work out, that's just management,” Solskjaer said.
Interestingly, Scholes coached briefly at United in 2014 during Ryan Giggs' four games reign after David Moyes was sent packing.
The club icon, who retired from active football in August 2011, also managed the under-23 side while Sir Alex Ferguson was still at the club.
Meanwhile, additional report claim football fans are of the opinion that ex-United boss Jose Mourinho will be excited learning that Scholes left his managerial role at Oldham less than one month on the job.
During his reign as a pundit with BT Sport, the United legend is usually criticize the Portuguese tactician during his stay at Old Trafford.

Scholes insists Oldham are not run the way he would have wanted.
The Boundary Park dwellers are presently placed 14th in the English third-tier and have not tasted victory in their last six matches.
