On Wednesday, March 13, around 10:20am, a tragic incident occurred at Itafaji area of Lagos state. A three-storey building housing a primary school collapsed taking the lives of scores of pupils.
It was gathered that about 69 children are feared to be trapped in the building. According to the Lagos state commissioner for health, Jide Idris, many of the rescued children were taken to Lagos Island General Hospital.
Nigerian celebrities such as Mercy Aigbe, Ali Baba, Ajoke Silva and others have also reacted to the building collapse story. The celebrities took to their Instagram pages to share their reactions.
Actress Ajoke Silva had expressed hopes that more survivors will be rescued from the building. She also called on the government to do something about the buildings in Lagos Island.

Actress Mercy Aigbe took to her page to pray for the victims and the families who are grieving.
Comedian Ali Baba had extended condolences to the family of the victims. The comedian wrote a long post talking about what the government should have done and how some Nigerians would have reacted.
Mercy Johnson expressed sadness over the incident. She noted that she could never get over the photos. The actress also prayed for the family of the victims.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that a number of school children were reportedly killed after a three-storey school building collapsed in Itafaji, Lagos Island on Wednesday, March 13. A crowd of people who had already gathered at the site of the collapse were overjoyed to see one of the boys hale and hearty and they rejoiced in unison after he was pulled out.
