One of the many advantages of social media is the opportunity it affords people to draw attention to important issues.
A social media user identified as Agbakoko Precious Ruona (@AgbakokoRuouna) recently took to the popular micro-blogging platform, Twitter, to draw the attention of the public to the plight of a young boy.
According to Ruona in his post, he had met the young kid at a mall in Abuja and he had decided to have an interview with him. The kid revealed to him that he had come all the way from Plateau to Abuja in search of a job.
He went on to disclose that he had lost his mother who was married to an abusive husband in a car accident, which is the reason why he made the journey to seek greener pastures.
Ruona further made it known that the boy had only just completed Junior Secondary School (JSS) and was really interested in furthering his education.
He shared the post saying: "Having lost his mother who ran away from an abusive husband in a car accident, Samson is homeless, jobless and stranded. I interviewed him and he really want to go back to school, he’s eloquent in English language having completed JSS 3 Together we can make a difference, retweet."
