Diego Simeone has sounded a note of warning to Atletico Madrid squad members to be watchful of Juventus stars ahead of their reverse UCL fixture on Tuesday night..

According to Daily Mail, the La Liga side appeared in excellent mood during their training session at the Juventus stadium, with Simeone showing off some ball skills during the session.

Diego Godin, who netted the all-important second goal during the 2-0 victory over the Old Lady’s in Spain back in February was also spotted in training getting set for tonight’s cracker.

Speaking after the session Simeone revealed that Godin will play a role during the encounter after cropping a quadriceps injury at training last week.

“Juve is not just Ronaldo, he has many champions with very experienced men.

“They have great quality ahead, Bernardeschi, Dybala, Douglas, who can accompany Mandzukic and Ronaldo, they all deserve our attention,” Simeone stressed, even as he was quick to add that Atletico exit at the last-16 round would be termed a huge a failure.

“The elimination would be a failure, they are two games, they have to be experienced as a match time, we will have to make better use of the opportunities built over the first leg,” Simeone summed up.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Atletico Madrid are one leg through to the quarter final stage of this season's UEFA Champions League after beating Juventus 2-0 at Estadio Wanda Metropolitano on Wednesday.

The hosts needed two quick second half goals to ensure they coast to 2-0 victory in front of their home fans. Diego Simeone's men took the lead for the first time in the meeting through Jose Gimenez in the 78th minute.
