Returning Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has reportedly told the club's chiefs not to sell Brazilian defender Marcelo when the ongoing Spanish La Liga season comes to an end.
The Brazil international has been tipped for a move away from Real Madrid this summer with some reports claiming that he had agreed terms with Italian side Juventus.
Marcelo was reported to be interested in having a reunion with Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo at the Turin based club.
And according to the latest report by A Bola Brasil, Zinedine Zidane has told Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez that the club must convince Marcelo to stay.
The report also added that Zinedine Zidane is ready to talk with Marcelo for the possibility of him not ending his 12 years stay at the Bernabeu this summer.
Real Madrid are already out of the Champions League and the Copa del Rey and have no hope of winning any title this season.
Los Blancos are currently occupying third position on the Spanish La Liga standings with 51 points after 27 games played this term.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Marcelo reportedly settled personal terms with Serie A champions Juventus ahead of Real Madrid exit in the summer.
According to sportbible.com report, the Brazilian star Marcelo, who is in his 13th season at the Bernabeu is no longer favorite for the left-back role, with Santiago Solari opting for youngster Sergio Reguilon.
Italian daily La Stampa claim Marcelo will pocket over €12m a season after agreeing a four-year contract at Juventus.
