Genevieve Nnaji debunks claim that she defended Imo indigenes staunchly in Lagos during election

Genevieve Nnaji has come out to rebuke a fake news peddled by some platforms. It was reported that she defended people from Imo state following the alleged attacks on them by people from another tribe in Lagos.

The report had said that the actress staunchly advocated for the need to stop killing the Igbos in Lagos and anywhere else because this might lead to troubles.

In fact, it was said that she had quoted a native proverb to this effect: “Isi Kote Ebu, Ogbaa Ya” which means “the head that pushes the wasp hive receives the sting.”

The actress has, however, come out to say that this is not the case. She totally debunked the claim and rebuked those who peddled the news.
