Upon the declaration of All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, as the winner of the governorship election held in Kwara state, the Senate president, Bukola Saraki, has congratulated the winners of the election.
Saraki, a Peoples Democratic Party (APC) member, and former governor of Kwara, thanked the people of the state for their support in the just concluded general election.
The senator representing Kwara Central conceded defeat by extending a congratulating message to winners across levels.
Legit.ng recalls that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Abdulrazaq winner of Kwara guber poll, having polled 331,546 votes to become the governor-elect of the state.
Reacting to the pronouncement, the senator said in a post available on his verified Facebook page: ''I thank all Kwarans, particularly PDP supporters, who worked for the party in the just concluded elections. My congratulations go to Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq and all those who emerged at all levels. I wish them all the best.''

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported that the Kwara state All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, has won the governorship election held on Saturday, March 9.
He polled 331,546 votes to emerge as the winner of the highly anticipated election. It was previously reported that the APC candidate won in all the 16 local government areas in the state announced earlier leading his PDP's opponent, Hon Abdulrazaq Atunwa, with a margin of 216,792 votes.
