Governor Nasiru El-Rufai of Kaduna state has won in his Unguwan Sarki polling unit 024 with 367 votes in the governorship and House of Assembly election held in the state.
The governor defeated his closest rival, Ashiru Kudan, of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), who scored only 59 Votes.

INEC presiding officer, Abdullahi Hamza, announced the result shortly after collation and counting were completed.
Meanwhile, Governor El-Rufai was reported to have lost Kaduna government house to his PDP challenger, Isa Ashiru.

Daily Trust reports that Isa Ashiru polled 145 votes against El-Rufai’s 114 at polling unit 013, state government house.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, the governorship candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Lagos state, had reportedly won his polling unit.
Sanwo-Olu, who voted at the Lateef Jakande/Femi Okunnu ward 019 polling unit in Ikoyi, cruised to a comfortable victory to defeat his close challenger, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)'s Jimi Agbaje.
