United were without regular players including midfield trio of Paul Pogba, Ander Herrera and Nemanja Matic.

Juan Mata, Alexis Sanchez and Anthony Martial also did not feature in the clash as they were sidelined with injuries.

United also headed into the Wednesday night, March 6, clash with a 2-0 goal deficit suffered in the reverse fixture played at Old Trafford in February.

They, however, still managed to stage a historic comeback, to beat PSG 3-1 and 3-3 on aggregate, thanks to away goals to qualify for the last eight.

Romelu Lukaku's first half brace and Marcus Rashford's stoppage time winner from the penalty spot sealed a famous victory for the Premier League giants.
