List of Imo lawmakers as AA shares House of Reps seats with PDP, APC

The twist and turn in the Nigerian politics on Saturday, February 23, took a new dimension, as new names were given a chance and brought into the system at the just concluded presidential and National Assembly election.

Legit.ng notes that from personalities to political parties, the dominance of both the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) was put on limit as other parties took a successful shot at the NASS seats.

In Imo, for instance, Daily Trust reports that Action Alliance (AA) candidates were also elected against all odds in what can be described as a commendable advancement on the country's budding democracy.

See the list of House of Representatives lawmakers as they stand across parties in Imo state:

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)

1. Henry Nwawuba was elected to represent Ikeduru/Mbaitoli federal constituency.

2. Bede Eke was elected to represent Ngor Okpala/Aboh Mbaise.

3. Emeka Chimeziewas was elected to represent Ezinihitte Mbaise/Ahiazu Mbaise federal constituency.

4. Ikenna Elezieanya was elected to represent Owerri federal constituency.

All Progressive Congress (APC)

Ugonna Ozuruigbo was the only lawmaker elected on the APC platform to represent Nwangele/Nkwerre/Isu/Njaba federal constituency.

Action Alliance (AA)

1. Kingsley Uju Ohaji was elected to represent Egbema/Oguta/Oru West federal constituency

2. Pascal Obi was also elected to represent Ideato North and Ideato South federal constituency.

In summation, the PDP has four lawmakers elected on its platform, APC has one lawmaker, while the third force AA, which was shot into limelight after Uche Nwosu joined the party from APC following guber ticket crisis, has two lawmakers to its credit.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha, had described his suspension as a plot to bring into destruction the chance of the APC in the southeast region by some selfish people ahead of 2023.

Reacting to his suspension, the Imo governor said the national chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole, was heavily blinded by 2023 presidency, thus making attempt to ruin the region's chances.
