- Following the conclusion of the recently conducted 2019 presidential elections, many have not stopped expressing their views on the subject.
- Two actresses in the Nigerian movie industry were recently involved in an exchange on social media following differences in political views.
- One of them charged celebrities to use their influence to advocate for fair governance instead of licking the boots of corrupt officials
Actress Georgina Onuoha recently posted a viral throwback video of the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s chairman Adams Oshiomole, who had made a mistake by using the word “rigging” instead of “defeat” while giving an address at a press conference.
The actress accompanied her post with a caption in which she had queried her followers by asking them if she heard right.
Many had taken under the post to drop comments and notable among them was fellow colleague Foluke Daramola-Salako, who had queried the motive behind what was posted. She went on to caution her industry mate by telling her to stop inciting the public.

Daramola said: "What are u saying? Is that not a mistake? Besides did Buhari win in Edo? Pls @georginaonuoha stop all these incitements abeg just stop pls"
Onouha upon sighting the response by her colleague had in turn given a feedback in which she mentioned that it was too grave a mistake for the political leader to make.

She responded saying: "@folukedaramolasalako my darling, from the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. Too grave a mistake for a man who led the labor union for years. Given we all make mistakes or have slip of tongues, but to incorporate rigging? Nah.. nothing like “misspoke”. I wish Nigerians as a whole the very best. The level of our ignorance is palpable and perplexing. Actually, the TV responded this was during the Osun state election that involved the Adeleke’s"
Following the exchange, the talented actress took to her page to call out her fellow celebrities and berate those of them that have been involved in collecting money from politicians. She charged them to use their influence to advocate for fair governance for the citizens instead of licking the boots of corrupt government officials.
The celebrity star concluded her post by calling on her colleagues to work with the newly elected president for the better good of the people. She also expressed her best wishes for the president of the country.
