Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has defeated President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the official collation of the presidential election in Plateau state.
Atiku polled 548,665 votes to defeat President Buhari who scored 468, 555 votes in the election. There were cases of cancellation of votes due to rejection of card readers and falsification of results.
12 local government areas were affected with 126 polling units affected thereby affecting 146,355 votes.
Total valid votes 103,4853
Rejected votes - 28,009
Total votes cast - 1,0628,62
Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that Atiku of the PDP had been declared winner of the presidential election in 10 local government areas in Plateau.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had so far declared results of 13 local government areas. The commission is awaiting the results of other 4 Local government areas.

Prof Richard Kimbir, the collation officer, declared that while Atiku of the PDP won in 10 Local government areas, the presidential candidate of the APC, Muhammadu Buhari won in three local government areas.
