Going by the result sheet released by the Independent National Election Commission (INEC), Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has defeated President Muhammadu Buhari in the presidential election in Benue state.
The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) polled 356,817 votes while Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) had 347,668 votes.
Number of rejected votes - 34,960
Total votes cast - 763,872
Elections were cancelled in 16 of the local governments with 172 polling units affected. Registered voters in the affected areas were 122,989.
Atiku also defeated President Buhari in the presidential election in Benue state. The candidate of the PDP polled 334,923 votes while Buhari of the APC had 140, 463 votes.
Meanwhile Legit.ng earlier reported that President Buhari defeated his main challenger Atiku Abubakar, in the Saturday, February 23, presidential election held in Bauchi state.
Legit.ng also reported that the total number of accredited voters in the state were 1,075,330 and the total number of valid votes were 1,024,307, while total votes cast were 1,061,955.
