The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), President Muhammadu Buhari, as the official winner of the February 23 presidential election held in Lagos state.
Legit.ng gathers from the official announcement made by the commission that Buhari won a total number of 580,825.

His close challenger Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had 448,015 votes.
Here are the full details of the results as shared by the electoral commission:
Buhari won in 15 of the 20 local government areas in the state while Atiku won the remaining five local government areas.
The total accredited voters for the state was 1,196,490 while the total valid votes stood at 1,089,567.
Recall that Legit.ng earlier reported that President Buhari defeated his main challenger and the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, in the Saturday, February 23, presidential election held in Bauchi state.
Legit.ng also reported that the total number of accredited voters in the state were 1,075,330 and the total number of valid votes were 1,024,307, while total votes cast were 1,061,955.
