Following the Nigerian 2019 presidential elections that held on Saturday, February 23, citizens of the country have continued to express their dissatisfaction at the delay in announcement of the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
It would be recalled that since the completion of the polls, the electoral body did not start to announce the results until 11am on Monday, February 23. The anticipation has kept a lot of electorates anxious and many have taken to social media to express how they feel.
Among one of the concerned citizens that voiced out is popular Nigerian comedian Akpororo, who recently took to his Instagram page in a video post in which he queried the delay for the final announcement of the winner.
The comedian, who revealed that he could not carry out his civic responsibility due to the postponement by INEC and a clash with the date of his comedy tour, said that most Nigerians already had an idea of who the winner would be and so there was no point for the commission’s delay.
Akpororo said that Nigerians were not scared of whoever is going to emerge as the next president between the candidate of the All Progressives Party (APC) Mohammadu Buhari and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He added that if either of them emerged and does not perform up to par, Nigerians would willfully make a new decision in four years when the time comes to vote again.
